The ride plate transducer mount will easily enable you to mount your transducer underneath the hull on the ride plate area.
This location is well known now to be one of, if not the most effective mounting location for transducer performance.
This mounting location has many pro's such as
- centrally mounted
- good reading at speed
- superior side scan performance
- interference from jet pump turbulence is eliminated
The only down side to this type of installation is that it puts your transducer at risk of damage when beaching or beach launching a ski but this can be avoided by taking extra care at these times.
We do not include any type of debris protection fins onto these mounts as we have found they aren't necessary and will reduce your transducers sidescan range in shallow water by interrupting the line of sight from the transducer.
Lowrance version - Made from 5mm thick 316 stainless steel to give ultimate strength and rigidity and comes with all necessary stainless steel mounting hardware.
Garmin version - Made from 10mm thick aluminium
