June GC Jetski Fishing UPDATE

As we are now in mid June, the days are getting shorter and the water temp is dropping fast. The harbour fishing is heating up with good numbers of Gurnard being caught, I will be sure to go target these in the nearby future in the Manukau Harbour and make a video of the trip to show you a few tips to target these tasty fish.

I took advantage of the low swell on the west coast on Tuesday 16th and shot out for a mid day fish, I explored the shallows down the coastline, found some new reefy territory which unfortunately only held large numbers of large west coast Kahawai, however a few of my previous spots were holding decent pan sized Snapper, and something new to me out here was casting small jigs into the wash zone of large rocks, with the jig being hit on the fall most times made for some fun fishing and a healthy bin full of 9 Snapper all in the mid 40cm mark.

Unfortunately with cold weather also comes fogging camera lenses!

The star jig of the day was the Catch Betabug 20gram in Orange

The rear seat rod holder kits have proved to be a very popular bit of kit, and thanks to Cody, a jetski fisho who lives near me, for letting me borrow parts off his 2018 FXHO so that I could redesign these kits to fit the older 2012 to 2018 Waverunner models, these are available on the website now in both the 2 rod holder trolling version and the deluxe version with 4 rod holders, with an installation instruction video on the product description page to show you just how easy they are to install.

That is all for now.
